143 Weeks in the Dark: The Prison Strike the Regime Cannot Break

The establishment in Tehran relies on a single, desperate currency: fear. They use the gallows to try and buy silence from a population that has completely rejected them. But the resistance is not just surviving in the shadows; it is actively organizing directly inside the prison walls.

As of October 2026, the "No to Execution Tuesdays" campaign has officially hit its 143rd consecutive week. Think about that level of absolute, unbreakable discipline. Political prisoners across 66 different prisons in Iran are conducting coordinated hunger strikes every single Tuesday to protest the state-sanctioned execution of dissidents and persistent judicial repression.

The state is accelerating the violence because they are terrified of the streets. They are trying to bleed the opposition dry, but the defiance remains absolute. This courage is echoing globally, with coordinated solidarity rallies hitting the streets in Washington, London, Brussels, and Vienna to ensure the prisoners' weekly statements are heard past the prison walls.

The "international community" often looks away when it's politically convenient or when the news cycle moves on, but The Rebel Rat stays watching. We stand with the political prisoners starving themselves for basic human rights. We stand with the Iranian people in their everyday, unrelenting struggle for a future free from dictatorship in all its forms.

Do not let their voices be buried in the dark.
